August 8, 2025 – Park Nuclear, a leading provider of nuclear power generation components and services based in Pasco, Washington, is excited to announce the upcoming establishment of a Nuclear Quality Assurance-1 (NQA-1) compliant Quality Assurance (QA) program at its new facility in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. This strategic expansion underscores Park Nuclear’s commitment to delivering high-quality, safe, and reliable solutions for the nuclear power industry while meeting the stringent requirements of nuclear safety and regulatory standards.
The 45,000 square foot Oak Ridge facility will serve as a center for Commercial Grade Dedication, Seismic & Material Testing under the NQA-1 program, enhancing Park Nuclear’s capability to provide comprehensive solutions for nuclear power plant operations.
The QA program, set to launch in Q4 2025, will align with NQA-1, the standard for quality assurance in nuclear facility applications, ensuring compliance with 10 CFR 50 Appendix B. This initiative will enhance Park Nuclear’s ability to serve clients in the nuclear power industry by providing robust quality management processes for design, manufacturing, inspection, and testing activities at the Oak Ridge facility.
