Reverse Engineered Replacement Design – 75-PDC-25 Power Supply
Park Nuclear’s reverse-engineered 75-PDC-25 Power Supply is designed as a like-for-like replacement for the original Panalarm unit, ensuring complete compatibility and seamless integration. The printed circuit board (PCB) layout closely replicates the original routing, and the transformer is custom manufactured to match the electrical and mechanical characteristics of the original design. All metalwork, including mounting holes, dimensions, and finishes, mirrors the original construction. Likewise, fuses, termination wiring, and connectors are equivalent and maintain identical fit, form, and function.
A detailed Item Equivalency Evaluation (IEE) accompanies the new design to support the end user’s standard equivalency process. This evaluation compares the replacement power supply to the original unit at both the system and component levels, demonstrating functional and material equivalency.
The 75-PDC-25 Power Supply is utilized in Panalarm Series 70 and 75 Annunciator Systems, part of the company’s long-standing alarm management and annunciation product family. These systems monitor critical field contacts and control points—such as pressure switches, flow sensors, and valve positions—and remain widely installed across U.S. nuclear power plants in both Non-Safety and Class 1E Safety-Related applications.
This reverse-engineered replacement enables nuclear operators to maintain their existing annunciator systems, avoid costly digital design changes, and achieve significant cost savings while ensuring continued system reliability and qualification integrity.
